What We Need
We are seeking a dedicated Character Artist to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with artists, designers, tech artists, and engineers to create the most astonishingly lifelike WWE Superstars ever seen in a game. You'll be responsible for not only recreating the incredible likenesses of Superstars but also designing a wide range of costumes, accessories, and hairstyles. Together, we'll continue developing the best wrestling game ever made.
WWE2K is an exciting and ambitious game franchise with a diverse set of features and requirements. You will grow and develop in many different areas, learning from a highly skilled team while working on ground breaking technology. We are open to candidates from all industries who have a passion for games. What You Will Do
- Build and model UVs, and texture characters using Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and ZBrush
- Use our toolset to create and maintain bodies, attires, and hair
- Follow a PBR-compliant workflow to build textures and materials
- Take ownership of characters from the style-guide phase to final in-game approval
- Troubleshoot character-related issues
- Collaborate closely with tech art, production, and engineering teams
- Develop extensive knowledge of our software and systems
- Provide feedback to outsource vendors
- Ensure timely delivery under production constraints
Who Will Be a Great Fit:
- 2+ years of experience as a character modeler
- Proficiency in Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and ZBrush
- A self-starter with a passion for learning and strong problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of anatomy and game engine limitations
- Ability to take direction, work independently, and contribute in a team environment
- Passionate about video games (not just ours!)
Might Be Nice:
- Experience with Flow Production Tracker, Perforce, Jira, or Marvelous Designer
- Skills in rigging, geometry deformations, and Grooming workflows (x-gen)
- Hyper-realistic likeness face sculpting from photo and video references
- Understanding of the end-to-end game production process

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $29.57 - $39.04 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
