Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Project Specialist, you will assist with client-related projects, set up and maintain back-end systems, and optimize business workflows through technology solutions. Responsibilities include analyzing budgets, reconciling payment data, monitoring expense ratios, preparing accounting entries, and investigating payment issues. You will also work with technology teams to devise solutions and collaborate with internal teams to improve client support. The role involves managing internal AP systems and contributing to project conversions, fund launches, and liquidations.
Must have:
  • 1–3 years of experience in Treasury, Budgeting, and Fund Expense Processing
  • Fund Accounting or Financial Services experience required
  • Proficiency with Excel including VBA and creating macros
  • At least a year of experience managing projects

Job Description

Title – Accounts Payable Project Specialist– Fund Administration

Location: Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Dublin, OH | HYBRID

In this role, you will assist with client related projects, providing back-end system set up and maintenance, and work to optimize business workflows, by implementing and advising on technology solutions to streamline our internal processes.

What You Will Get To Do: 

  • Assist with client related projects including conversions, fund and class launches, mergers, deconversions, and liquidations for registered fund services as it relates to accounts payable, accruals and budgeting
  • Collect, analyze and review financial data to perform some or all of the following accounting processes: analyzing budgets, reconcile payment data, monitor expense ratios, prepare accounting ledger entries, monitor variances and identify trends.
  • Manage internal AP system to complete backend system set ups, and other internal interfaces.
  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoice payments in a timely manner with accuracy and thoroughness. Assist others with problem solving as needed.
  • Assist with optimizing operations, development of controls, recommending and documenting AP policies.
  • Work with technology teams and other servicing groups on projects to change or devise solutions to meet our teams’ and clients’ needs.

What You Will Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, similar, related field or equivalent experience
  • Must have 1–3 years of experience in Treasury, Budgeting, and Fund Expense Processing
  • Fund Accounting or Financial Services experience required
  • Must have proficiency with Excel including VBA and creating and refining macros.
  • At least a year of experience managing projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up, analytical acumen and excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple and competing priorities.
  • Be able to communicate clearly to clients and ensure that the correct expectations are set throughout projects.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with internal teams and stakeholders and collaborate across regions to improve how we service and support our clients.
  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot, research, and resolve various issues pertaining to multiple areas.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
  • Must be a team player willing to assist in various tasks.
  • Must be willing to work on site in one of our offices at minimum of 6 days/months

Colorado: Salary range for the position: $65,000 USD to $80,000 USD.
