Job Description

The Instructional Designer will be a key member of the design team, responsible for creating and maintaining educational design standards for company products and training. This role includes utilizing design thinking principles, building eLearning courses, managing multiple projects, designing eLearning experiences, and creating assessments. The designer will also consult on eLearning standards and partner with content experts. This is a temporary full time role for 6 months with opportunity for extension.
Must have:
  • 5-8 years of design, development, and user testing experience
  • 1-2 years of visual design experience with Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • A strong design portfolio showcasing original learning products
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Experience creating eLearning courses with Evolve or Articulate 360
  • Familiarity with ADDIE, Rapid Release and storyboarding
  • Prior experience meeting company standards
  • Skilled in an array of project management programs
Good to have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, or related field
  • Experience with Evolve and Intellum LMS
  • Experience with Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or other video editing platforms
  • Experience creating interactive Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

We are looking for:
The Instructional Designer will act as a learning partner/consultant and will be a key member of one of the most skilled design teams in the tech industry. Your role will be to maintain and create educational design standards for an array of company products and training purposes. This is a temporary full time role for 6mos with opportunity for extension.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Utilize developmental design thinking principles to solve user experience issues, analyze opportunities and establish working solutions
  • Build eLearning courses using a rapid authoring tool
  • Juggle multiple projects at once and prioritize effectively
  • Design and developing innovative eLearning experience practice standards
  • Deliver concise expectations and act as an e-learning consultant to ensure standards are being met during all stages of production
  • Create engaging training programs at scale while conveying a heightened level of accuracy
  • Create assessments including quiz questions
  • Partner with content and skills experts to efficiently align the highest level of company priorities 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in designing, developing, and user testing
  • 1-2 years of visual design experience with Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • A strong design portfolio showcasing the development of original learning products with HTML5 or other development languages/environments
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Drive, Slides, Docs, and Sheets)
  • Experience creating complex eLearning courses with Evolve or Articulate 360
  • Familiarity with ADDIE, Rapid Release and storyboarding
  • Prior experience meeting company standards in presentation design, as well as copywriting and copyediting
  • Skilled in an array of project management programs (Smartsheet, Asana, Google Sheets)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to identify all grammar and language mistakes
  • A history of overseeing large-scale design projects while prioritizing consistent messaging and meeting essential project deadlines
  • Ability to break down complex technical language into simplified steps
  • Independently focused, yet able to partner with cross-functioning department leaders
  • Driven by analytics and problem-solving
  • Unparalleled attention to detail 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, or related field of study or equivalent prior work experience
  • Experience with Evolve and Intellum LMS
  • Experience with Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or other video editing platforms
  • Experience creating interactive Instructor-Led Training (ILT) 
 
Compensation & Benefits: 
This is a temporary full-time role that has an annual base salary of $80,000-$90,000 USD.
