Job Description

The Junior Payment Business Development Manager will drive strategic growth and expand Xsolla's payment solutions across the Asian market. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships with fintech companies and financial institutions, negotiating agreements, driving revenue growth by adding new payment solutions, collaborating with the sales team, providing market insights to the product team, conducting market analysis, and preparing reports. The role requires strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of Asian payment systems and regulatory frameworks.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payment Business Development Manager with a strong background in the Asian fintech ecosystem. In this role, you will drive strategic growth, cultivate partnerships, and expand our payment solutions across the region. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful implementation of our payment strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Strategic Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in local fintech markets across Asia.
    • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company’s payment solutions footprint in the region.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform business strategy.

    • Partnership Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with payment providers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies in Asia.
    • Negotiate partnership agreements and collaborations to drive mutual growth.
    • Ensure all initiatives are compliant with local regulations.

    • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Drive revenue by adding new payment solutions to our portfolio.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and tailor solutions for target markets.

    • Product Development Support:
    • Provide market insights and feedback to the product team to enhance and localize payment solutions.
    • Support the launch of new products and services tailored to regional needs.

    • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of the Asian fintech ecosystem, identifying market shares, opportunities, and challenges.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5+ years in business development, sales, product management, or partnerships within the payments or fintech industry, with a focus on the Asian market.
    • Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of payment systems and regulatory frameworks in Asia.
    • Network:
    • Established connections with key players in the Asian fintech ecosystem, including payment providers, financial institutions, regulators, and technology providers.
    • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
    • Language Proficiency:
    • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese) is highly advantageous.
