Job Description

Fluence, a global leader in intelligent energy storage and optimization software for renewables, is seeking a Marketing Manager for its Digital Products in the Americas. This role will drive marketing strategy, demand generation, customer engagement, and campaigns for B2B SaaS products like Nispera and Mosaic. The manager will be responsible for regional content strategy, thought leadership, digital and in-person events, and account-based marketing, collaborating with global marketing teams. The position is crucial for growing Fluence's software solutions and enhancing its brand in target markets, focusing on optimizing energy assets. This is a strategic, cross-functional role involving close collaboration with sales, growth, marketing communications, and sales engineering teams to execute regional marketing plans and drive demand for energy storage and software solutions.
Must have:
  • Develop region-specific marketing strategy and plans.
  • Execute marketing tactics to generate sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with product marketing for messaging.
  • Assist regional sales team and build leads.
  • Track regional marketing activities and KPIs.
  • Bachelor's in marketing, business, or related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of marketing experience, ideally B2B SaaS or energy.
  • Experience developing and executing sales-focused marketing strategies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects.
  • Entrepreneurial and works well in a growth/matrixed environment.

The Marketing Manager will work to drive marketing strategy, planning, demand generation, customer engagement, and campaigns for our B2B SaaS products, Nispera and Mosaic, in the Americas region. The Marketing Manager will own strategic marketing planning and execution of key marketing tactics, including regional content strategy, thought leadership, digital and in-person events, and account-based marketing, with support from our Global Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward the growth strategy around advanced software products that help optimize wind, solar, and energy storage assets as part of our mission to transform the way we power our world. 

Sitting at the intersection of Fluence’s software sales and marketing efforts in the Americas region, you will play a key role in driving and nurturing demand for our energy storage and software solutions, building close relationships with key customer accounts, and supporting the development of our brand in target markets and segments. This position is strategic and highly cross-functional, and you will work collaboratively with sales, growth, marketing communications, sales engineering and other parts of the organization to execute high-profile regional marketing plans.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

  • Partner in developing region-specific marketing strategy and plans that support Fluence’s regional sales strategy for digital products
  • Planning and executing marketing tactics across channels to generate sales opportunities, accelerate existing sales opportunities, and deepen existing customer relationships
  • Working with cross-functional marketing teams and agencies to form and execute integrated campaigns that involve email marketing, thought leadership, events, paid advertising, and other tactics/channels as needed
  • Coordinating with product marketing and strategy teams to develop region-specific messaging priorities and targeting priorities
  • Assist regional sales team as needed, including increasing brand awareness locally/regionally, and building/qualifying leads for your sales region
  • Drive quantified tracking of regional marketing activities against regional marketing budgets and tracking success against annual marketing KPIs

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor’s in marketing, business, or related discipline
  • 5-7+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or energy industry 
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and plans and executing sales-focused marketing strategies
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • You are entrepreneurial and work well in a rapidly changing growth organization and/or cross-functional, matrixed environment
