As a Senior Business Consultant in the Investment Performance & Risk Analytics, you will be part of the Advanced Delivery Center (ADC) in Mexico. Your main responsibilities include participating in SimCorp Dimension implementations, documenting client requirements, designing solutions, and providing training. You will be working with performance and risk measurement topics. The role involves collaborating with implementation project teams globally to ensure successful project delivery. This role is crucial in tailoring and deploying SimCorp Dimension for clients, focusing on configuration, integration and testing.
Must have:
  • Degree/master's within Finance, Economics, Physics, Math, Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the Financial Sector
  • High level understanding of IT implementation project lifecycle
  • High level understanding of requirements gathering sessions
  • Experience in quantitative analysis or mathematical/financial modelling
Good to have:
  • Good knowledge about performance and risk measurement in the investment management industry
  • Practical knowledge of different metrics and industry standards
  • CFA or FRM would be a plus

SimCorp Advanced Delivery Center (ADC) was strategically established, initially in 2016 in Warsaw, Poland, and subsequently extended to Manila, Philippines in 2021 and Mexico City in 2023. This deliberate expansion enables us to efficiently connect with clients spanning EMEA, APAC, and NA. Within the ADC, our Business Consultants collaborate closely with market units, focusing on business functionality and solution workflows. Their expertise ensures the customized configuration and seamless deployment of SimCorp Dimension for our valued customers.

  

Why this role is important to us    

In this role as Senior Business Consultant in the Investment Performance & Risk Analytics, you will join our Advanced Delivery Center (ADC) in Mexico, one of SimCorp's Centers for configuration. Business Consultants in the ADC further extend the configuration standards of SimCorp Dimension to tailor and deploy these at the customers. You will contribute to the effective delivery of SimCorp Dimension, working primarily within performance and risk measurement topics, and will be collaborating, mostly remotely, with the implementation project teams in SimCorp's Consulting Services around the world. 

What you will be responsible for 

  • Participating in all aspects of SimCorp Dimension implementations (related to the Performance & Risk Analytics area), including configuration, integration, and test 

  • Documenting client requirements and mapping to SimCorp Dimension functions and processes, identifying process improvements and efficiencies where possible 

  • Designing and delivering an overall solution set to meet client requirements, modelling operational workflows around SimCorp Dimension, customizing, and delivering standard configuration solutions, and developing and delivering new solutions 

  • Assisting the client in developing an overall test strategy and test plans and supporting the client in the execution of test cases, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise 

  • Providing configuration and end-user training, allowing the client to maintain SimCorp Dimension and optimize its usage 

  • Constantly expanding your knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and the clients' business to ensure that clients get the optimal configuration and workflow 

What we value 

Your high-quality communication, coordination and interpersonal skills will enable you to direct all activities to planned outcomes. As our preferred candidate, you will have:  

  • Degree/master's within Finance, Economics, Physics, Math, Science or Engineering  

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the Financial Sector, preferably in FinTech or IT Consulting company  

  • High level understanding of IT implementation project lifecycle 

  • High level understanding of requirements gathering sessions 

  • Experience in quantitative analysis or mathematical/financial modelling or valuation of financial instruments  

  • Good knowledge about performance and risk measurement, ideally in the investment management industry    

  • Practical knowledge of different metrics and industry standards for measuring performance and risk (i.e., Value at Risk, Return calculations methods) would be of a great advantage    

  • High level of motivation, creativity, and inquisitiveness with a global perspective 

  • A focused approach, coupled with enthusiasm and the ability to work under minimal supervision 

  • High-quality communication skills, especially in virtual collaboration  

  • CFA or FRM would be a plus
