This role involves working with a growing and dynamic IP team, focusing on the development and support of high-performance Memory PHY IP products related to memory protocols such as DDR/LPDDR/HBM/GDDR. The candidate will be a key member of the technical staff, responsible for pre-sales engagement, pre-silicon support, and post-silicon bring-up and test support. Responsibilities include supporting IP integration, resolving complex issues, conducting simulations, and assisting customers with integration and documentation. The candidate will also have the opportunity to become a Customer Success Lead. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Must have:
  • Experience with DDR5/4/3, LPDDR5/4/3, HBM3/4, GDDR6/7 IPs
  • Verilog RTL design and gate level verification experience
  • Synthesis and STA experience
  • Familiarity with industry standard DFT flows and test methodologies

Product Engineer – Memory IP Products

Join a growing and dynamic IP team and help lead the proliferation of best-in-class Memory PHY IP products across a wider range of customers.  This is a tremendous opportunity to work with an experienced team focusing on development and support of high-performance IP related to memory protocols such as DDR/LPDDR/HBM/GDDR and to engage with the technology sector’s top companies making an impact in our world.

The role will be to serve as a key member of technical staff in an organization responsible for IP activities including but not limited to pre-sales engagement with potential customers, pre-silicon support for customers with IP usage and integration, and post-silicon bring-up and test support for IP in customer devices.  This candidate will be the primary interface between customers, Cadence R&D and system validation teams.  Candidate should possess strong communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities on a day-to-day basis.  Ownership of tasks, ability to collaborate with remote teams located worldwide and clear oral and written communication skills are must-have attributes in this role.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Support integration / customization / post-silicon bring up of Cadence Memory IP subsystems
    • Help with internal system integration and QA testing of Memory subsystem products (Controller + PHY)
    • Analyze and resolve complex subsystem application or implementation issues and provide professional guidance to customers
    • Support Memory PHY and controller SOC integration reviews and integration questions
    • Perform RTL and gate level simulations to verify functionality
    • Assist customers with gate level simulations and timing closure
    • Participate in development of Cadence documentation and checklists for customers
    • Support post-silicon bring up and deployment activities by our customers
    • Enhance customer experience by providing prompt updates to customers
    • Opportunity to become a Customer Success Lead and engage with Tier 1 customers and lead engagements to ensure customer success across multiple projects and products
  • Position Requirements:             
    • B.S Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar degree)
    • Minimum 15 years of overall experience
    • Experience working with DDR5/4/3, LPDDR5/4/3, HBM3/4, GDDR6/7 or similar IPs
    • Verilog RTL design and gate level verification experience
    • Synthesis and STA experience, back-end experience is a plus
    • Familiarity with industry standard DFT flows and test methodologies
    • Familiarity with package and board design.
    • Ability to read schematics and participate in SI/PI reviews for customer board/package implementation
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Memory PHY and DSP-based architectures
    • Experience with embedded microcontroller FW
    • M.S Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar degree)
