Fi is a new age money management app designed to simplify your financial life. With Fi, you can save, pay, invest, or borrow, all in one place. You can track and analyze your expenses across Fi and all your other bank accounts. You can also apply for a credit card, access instant loans, and grow your wealth and more with our range of investment options. At Fi, we’re redefining how people engage with money — and content is at the heart of every user experience we build.
We’re looking for a UX Writer who can turn complex financial journeys into simple, intuitive, and user-friendly narratives across our app ecosystem. With over 3.5 million users on the platform, this role offers the opportunity to shape product communication across multiple surfaces — from onboarding to transactions to support.
What You’ll Do:
Write clear, concise, and helpful in-app content that guides users through financial tasks and product flows.
Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to shape intuitive product experiences.
Maintain and evolve Fi’s brand voice and tone across a variety of touchpoints — app screens, tooltips, push notifications, SMS, FAQs, chatbots, etc.
Use user research, A/B testing, and performance metrics to iterate on copy for clarity and impact.
Contribute to building content standards, tone guidelines, and editorial processes that scale with the product.
Collaborate with teams across functions to support content needs beyond core product flows.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 2 years of experience as a UX Writer, content designer, or product content specialist.
A strong portfolio that showcases your microcopy, UX thinking, and ability to simplify complex ideas.
Deep understanding of content hierarchy, user flows, and how writing supports usability.
Comfort working in fast-paced environments with frequent iterations and tight feedback loops.
Strong attention to detail — both editorial and functional.
Ability to adapt writing style across channels, user intents, and contexts.
Bonus If You:
Have worked in fintech or other domains with complex product language.
Are familiar with Figma, Notion, and other collaboration tools.
Keep up with UX writing trends and debate things like “Sign up” vs. “Signup.”
If you love simplifying the complex, thinking like a user, and crafting words that move people (not just pixels) — we’d love to hear from you.
