This is an entry-level position for individuals looking to start their career in media sales. As an Account Executive, you will coordinate advertising campaigns across Nine's Metro TV channels. You will support Sales Executives, collaborate with external stakeholders like media and advertising agencies, and internal teams. Responsibilities include booking and revising advertising spots, communicating with clients, coordinating campaigns, liaising with agencies, data entry, and administrative tasks. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity, perfect for anyone looking to kick-start their career in media. You’ll gain hands-on experience and exposure to the fast-paced world of media sales, while learning from an experienced and supportive team.

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for campaign coordination of inventory sales across the Nine’s Metro TV channels, working across a client base of national brands. 

In this diverse role, your primary function will be to support the Sales Executive and work collaboratively with external stakeholders such as media and advertising agencies as well as internal stakeholders across the business.

Day to day you will:

  • Booking and revising advertising spots within the context of an advertising campaign
  • Communicating with clients to ensure smooth running of advertising campaigns
  • Accommodate and prioritise a number of concurrent advertising campaigns
  • Liaise with advertising agencies via telephone to coordinate bookings, revisions and rates for advertising campaigns
  • Confirm phone bookings with agency/client via email
  • Data entry of advertising spots to sales and traffic system
  • Monitor movement of advertising spots in traffic system and act to ensure (number and amount of) ‘credits’ are reduced
  • General administrative tasks for Sales team

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and within a team environment as a team player
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel skills required
  • Microsoft PowerPoint skills highly desirable
