Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) is responsible for driving growth and achieving quarterly business goals for a portfolio of small businesses. This role requires fluent communication in Romanian and English to manage client relationships in the Romanian region. Responsibilities include understanding client growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, creating quarterly plans, and conducting sales consultations. The ideal candidate will have experience in advertising, sales, or marketing, with a strong understanding of online marketing strategy and digital advertising campaigns, particularly performance marketing. They will be able to build strong client relationships, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and achieve customer business and marketing objectives. The position involves stakeholder management and collaborating with clients and agencies to achieve Google Ads investment ROI.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent Romanian and English
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Online marketing strategy knowledge
  • Performance marketing expertise
  • Achieve sales quotas
Good to have:
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success
  • Effective questioning and objection handling
  • Ability to build narratives and utilize storytelling
  • Experience managing digital advertising campaigns

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in Romanian and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged selling.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Romania, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly business and product growth goals. 
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on the Google Ads investment.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee stakeholder management and build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
