A career opportunity has arisen for a Corporate / M&A (Merger and Acquisitions) Lawyer with a focus on corporate law to work within our growing team of professionals. The scope of this role is to assist, advise and work on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, with a major focus on Mergers and Acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Your Mission

Your career with PwC is what you make it to be. You will be involved in various different local and international transactions. Your responsibilities will vary from day-to day, but these may largely include:

  • Assisting and supporting a team of professionals, from different backgrounds, on numerous corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, transfer agreements and joint venture transactions;

  • Assisting the Firm’s multinational clients with the planning and implementation of corporate restructurings;

  • Assisting in due diligence exercises on target companies to identify potential risks, liabilities and legal issues;

  • Reviewing commercial agreements and corporate documents;

  • Assisting with managing corporate transactions;

  • Maintaining good corporate governance and assisting with preparing any documentation required in this regard; 

  • Keeping abreast with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to corporate laws and competition law;

  • Conducting timely and precise research into specific areas of Law.

About you

The successful candidate should: 

  • Hold a university degree in Law, with preference given to candidates having previous experience in corporate law and advising on similar transactions

  • Be proficient and fluent in written and verbal English. Additional languages will be given value.

  • Be organised and able to perform in demanding transactions

  • Be career oriented and have an ambition to develop progressively within the Firm.

  • Be able to work effectively within a team with the energy and time dedication which the profession demands

  • Have a professional mindset and excellent communication skills.

A postgraduate degree in law will be considered an asset.
