Job Description

The Finance Director (SSC) - Canada is responsible for the overall Shared Service (SSC) operation, encompassing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and fixed assets. This role requires managing SSC policies, SLAs, processes, manpower planning, and operations to ensure smooth functionality. Responsibilities include contract review for compliance, maintaining SOPs, prompt billing and collections, cash sustainability, and ensuring adherence to group policies and internal controls. The position also involves budget oversight, supporting stakeholders to maintain quality service standards, team supervision and guidance, and leading improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses an Accounting or Business degree/Chartered Accountant designation and at least 10 years of relevant finance experience in a large SSC environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential.

Must have:

Overall responsibility for SSC operations (AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets)
Manage SSC policies, SLAs, and processes
Ensure compliance and SOPs
Prompt billing, collections, and cash sustainability
Oversee annual budget and support stakeholders
Supervise and guide the team
Accounting/Business degree or CA designation
10+ years relevant finance experience

Responsibilities:

Support stakeholders to maintain quality service standards
Supervise and provide guidance to the team
Support and lead improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Accounting or Business degree/Chartered Accountant
At least 10 years of relevant experience background in finance
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skill with positive mindset
Experience working in large SSC environment
