YOUR ROLE
As an Industrial Engineering Supervisor on our team, you’ll collaborate closely with Operations leaders and other stakeholders as we enhance production rates and boost productivity.
You will also play a vital role in defining, transforming, and updating production systems, as well as assisting Operations with daily production system management and driving process improvements for the future. This includes meeting/defining the required work standards to ensure our colleagues' work is safe, ergonomic, and efficient.
In your daily job, you will:
- Manages industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, Standard work analysis, and improvement activities throughout the business units.
- Development and implementation of plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes, and provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Help to shape long-term plant vision based on the expected requirements from our customers, maximizing the efficiency and utilization of our resources
- Maintain and establish ergonomics and safety standards for human resources and equipment
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
- 3+ years Operations/Industrial Engineering experience in the automotive industry
- Use of Systematic Problem Solving, 3L5W, DRIVE, Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Shainin RedX Journeyman
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel as well as CAD software such as Autocad/BricsCAD.
- Knowledge of core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC) and statistical tools
- Experience with continuous improvement tools such as KAIZEN, 5S, Kanban, VSM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and financial evaluation methods, as well as the ability to develop financial case studies to optimize human, technical, and material resources to support informed decision-making at the plant
- Strategic leadership and development of the engineering and technical team to support the achievement of key operational, quality assurance, health and safety, and cost optimization objectives.
