Job Description
The Lead Programmer will be responsible for collaborating with other leads on core feature designs and performance goals, coordinating with other leads to plan and resolve dependencies and blockers, deciding on the tech stack, defining project code standards, ensuring the project meets technical quality and performance goals, overseeing technical design for core game systems, enforcing project code standards, and mentoring other programmers on the team. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, cross-functional collaboration skills and a natural interest in systems, tools, and pipelines.
Must have:
- Collaborate on core feature designs and performance goals
- Coordinate to plan, and resolve dependencies and blockers
- Decide on tech stack
- Define project code standards
- Ensure technical quality and performance goals
- Oversee technical design for core game systems
- Enforce project code standards
- Mentor other programmers
Good to have:
- Experience working with mobile games
- Excellent C# and Unity skills
- Shipped several mobile games
- Experience working with multiplayer games
- Experience working with LLMs
- Interest in systems, tools, and pipelines
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Great cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Our client is growing their team to work on their first title and are looking for an experienced Lead Programmer to join them. Their next game is a tactical RPG and they are aiming to create an unforgettable experience for the players.
Role responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other leads on core feature designs and performance goals
- Coordinate with other leads to plan, and resolve dependencies and blockers
- Responsible for deciding on tech stack
- Responsible for defining project code standards
- Ensure the project meets technical quality and performance goals
- Oversee technical design for core game systems

Desirable skills and knowledge:
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working with mobile games
- Excellent C# and Unity skills
- Have shipped several mobile games
- Preferably experience working with multiplayer games
- Preferably experience working with LLMs
- A natural interest in systems, tools, and pipelines
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Great cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
