Legal Counsel -

Nolimit City | Malta

Our legal team is expanding, and we are seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer, with a proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of commercial and supplier agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, vendor agreements, addenda and amendment agreements, ensuring compliance with multiple legal frameworks.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams within the business, including commercial, compliance and finance, to ensure all contracts align with overall business objectives and minimise potential risks.
• Offer clear, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders, including the commercial team, on commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards.
• Ensure compliance with data protection requirements and draft, review and negotiate data protection agreements in an international environment.
• Assist with the preparation of corporate documentation that shall be required from time to time for the entities forming part of the Nolimit City group of companies.
• Maintain a contract registration and management system for the organisation of the commercial and vendor agreements and other documentation and facilitate smooth tracking of important agreement milestones, including renewals, expirations, and obligations.

• Conduct legal research to stay informed of legislative and regulatory developments in multi-national regulatory online gambling regimes and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and the mitigation of potential risk.
• Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated and required for the smooth running of the legal team.

Key Skills

• Qualified lawyer, preferably with a warrant to practice law in Malta.
• A minimum of two years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer, with a focus on commercial or corporate law.
• Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements, including those with cross-jurisdictional elements.
• A high attention to detail individual with exceptional analytical skills to ensure contracts are accurate, enforceable, and aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
• Fully committed to delivering high-quality work and having excellent organisational skills, even when managing tight deadlines or competing priorities.
• A collaborative team player who is willing to share knowledge and contribute to the growth and success of the legal team whilst also being self-driven and able to work independently; consistently demonstrating productivity and accountability with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in working within an international business environment or in the iGaming sector is a plus.
