The Night Shift Production Supervisor will oversee the Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) process, managing technicians, addressing equipment and staffing issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day supervision, documenting procedures, analyzing wafer data, and training technicians. The supervisor will also need to communicate issues to engineering and facilities staff and assist with the LPE process as needed. This role requires experience in wafer fabrication, using LPE equipment, and working with chemicals and high-temperature environments. The supervisor will also be responsible for following the site EHS procedures and company values (ICARE).
Must have:
  • Supervise LPE technicians and their assignments.
  • Solve equipment, process, and staffing problems.
  • Experience using LPE equipment and high temperature furnaces.
  • Experience in the wafer fabrication process and production.
Good to have:
  • Associate degree or college credits in a technical field.
  • Experience with facilities equipment.
  • Experience with precision measurement methods.
  • Experience with PC based computers for programming LPE systems.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Access, and SAP.
  • Experience working with chemicals, acids, and a high temperature environment.

Job Details

Looking for a night shift manufacturing supervisor to oversee the LPE (Liquid Phase Epitaxy) process.

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday (5:00pm to 1:30am)

You must be prepared to work a minimum of 6 months Monday-Friday on first shift for training purposes.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS OF JOB

  • Provides day to day supervision and work assignments to LPE technicians
  • Handle multiple priorities and issues in a fast paced environment
  • Actively participates in documenting LPE growth procedures and work instructions
  • Effectively solve equipment, process, and staffing problems as they occur
  • Communicates problems, results, and important issues to facilities or engineering staff
  • Analyze wafer data and make adjustments as needed
  • Assist lab technicians with the LPE process as needed
  • Provide training and technical support for LPE technicians on shift
  • Prepping furnaces for new melts

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Preferred: Associate degree or college credits in a technical or scientific field

Experience:

  • Two to five years' experience working as a front-line supervisor in a laboratory / manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using LPE equipment (high temperature furnaces).
  • Experience in the wafer fabrication process and production.
  • Experience with facilities equipment (Chiller, Scrubbers, HVAC).
  • Experience working with precision measurement methods and systems.
  • Experience with PC based computers for programming LPE systems.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Access, and SAP.
  • Experience working with chemicals, acids, and a high temperature environment.
