Description:
The Quality Engineer II is a self-motivated individual who works closely with customers and project management to solve quality issues, comply with customer requirements, and continuously improve products and services. Performs day-to-day activities from project/product conception to implementation, deployment and support. The position has significant interaction across all functional departments and geographical locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures products meet all applicable external requirements (i.e. customer, ISO 9001,
AS9100,
Supports project management, customers, providers and CAE USA staff to proactively
Identify and address quality issues and improvements using quality audits, tools, and
concepts.
Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma or other problem-solving methodologies.
Evaluates software and hardware configuration, change management processes, and
deliverable documents.
Collects, analyzes, and presents quality metrics in support of organizational objectives.
Creates and revises quality plans, processes, procedures and work instructions as
directed.
Applies quality requirements during product procurement.
Supports estimation/proposal pursuits, internal/external audits, supplier evaluations,
internal inspection, customer property, disposition of defective material, and organizational
improvement initiatives.
Facilitates causal analysis teams, improvement teams, and process performance teams.
Develops and delivers quality-related training. Serves as coach and mentor for quality
personnel.
Serves as a subject matter expert for the quality management system and risk management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
B.S. - Technical Science, Engineering, Statistics
Three to five years related experience or equivalent education/experience in Quality Engineering or Reliability Engineering
Must have thorough understanding of good manufacturing practices, Quality systems, regulatory requirement, supplier management, validation principles.
Competent in Microsoft Office software applications
Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications
Experience with MRB processes, supplier quality and non-conformance management.
Preferred Skills
ASQ CQE, ASQ CRE or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Hands on experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing processes such as machining, composites, or special processes.
Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA and statistical analysis tools.
Previous software and hardware configuration control and change management.
Experience working with DoD, FAA, or OEM Aerospace requirements.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a training device
Minimum Travel required (25%-40%)
