Rippling is seeking an experienced Senior Copywriter to manage the brand's voice across Rippling.com. This role involves owning messaging for all Rippling products on the web and acting as a subject matter expert. The Senior Copywriter will concept, write, and edit copy for product launches, industry segments, and company pages. They will develop a deep understanding of Rippling's positioning and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GTM, web designers, and UX strategists, to translate business needs into engaging digital experiences. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and skilled in web writing best practices, SEO, CRO, and systems thinking.

About the role


We are looking for an experienced Senior Copywriter with an extensive background in writing for the websites, to help own the voice across all Rippling.com touch points.

Since its redesign, the Rippling brand has become a huge asset and differentiator for the company and now, has the respect and trust of stakeholders at all levels. This role will be responsible for stewarding the brand with craft and care across every touchpoint of our website.


You will be based in our San Francisco, CA office and will be required to be in office 3x/week.


What you will do

  • Act as a steward for Rippling’s brand voice on the web
  • Own messaging for the full suite of Rippling products on the web, acting as a go-to subject matter expert for people across the company.
  • Concept, write, and edit copy on the web for product launches, industry and audience segments, content experiences, company pages, and more.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Rippling’s corporate positioning, segment-level messaging, and product-specific messaging.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to GTM, translating industry and customer research into compelling, ownable product messaging.
  • Collaborate with web designers, UX strategists, and business partners to translate complex marketing and business needs into digital experiences that delight visitors.
  • Be an organized self-starter who can navigate ambiguity comfortably.

What you will need

  • Extensive background in writing for the websites
  • A copywriting portfolio showcasing breadth and depth
  • 7+ years experience, with some in-house SaaS (most recent role)
  • Track record of collaborating with internal clients
  • Ability to challenge others directly—and change one’s mind when challenged
  • A deep understanding of writing for the web, including best practices, SEO, CRO, and systems thinking
  • Ability to see projects through with minimal guidance
  • Willingness to brainstorm the big picture and obsessively line-edit
  • Knowledge about the SaaS space and curiosity about Rippling’s customers
