Job Description

Next Level Games, a subsidiary of Nintendo, is seeking a Senior Producer to lead multidisciplinary teams in creating award-winning video games. This hybrid role involves managing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure alignment between creative vision and production targets. Responsibilities include strategy and planning, problem-solving, risk management, effective communication with creative and technical leads, and publisher communications. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large game teams, strong knowledge of production pipelines, and a background in hands-on development. We’ve been passionate about video game development for 20 years now, shipping award-winning games for fans across the world and still going strong. Some of our titles include Super Mario Strikers, Mario Strikers Charged, Punch-Out!!, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Metroid Prime Federation Force, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and most recently Mario Strikers™: Battle League.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 
We are looking for a Senior Producer to join our team at Next Level Games! In this key role, you’ll work closely with cross-disciplined teams to ensure alignment between creative vision, technical execution, and production targets.  

Please note this is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week at our Vancouver studio.  

  • Project Management: Lead multi-disciplinary teams and track the development of features and assets from concept to creation; Manage development schedules, resources, and budgets and ensure development stays on track and within scope. 
  • Strategy and Planning: Support the Leadership team in setting the development strategy, and planning Milestones and Sprints; Hold the team accountable to timelines, estimates and goals. 
  • Problem Solving: Apply hands-on knowledge of game development and work closely with creative and technical leads to solve challenges and deliver high quality results. 
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and roadblocks; Devise mitigation strategies and support the team to find solutions and keep development moving forward. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with the production team and craft experts to ensure timely hand-offs and effective cross-discipline communication. 
  • Processes and Workflows: Leverage project management expertise and past production experience to assist in establishing and continuously improving development workflows and processes. 
  • Publisher Communications: Provide regular status updates and facilitate the flow of information and feedback between the development team and the publisher.  
  • Team Health and Morale: Ensure work is appropriately scoped and foster a collaborative environment where team members are motivated and capable of delivering their highest quality work.

  • Experience leading large, cross-functional game teams  
  • Strong knowledge of production pipelines and tools  
  • 6+ years working on console or PC titles from start to finish  
  • Background in a hands-on dev role is a plus!  
  • Strong communicator with leadership and problem-solving skills

The hiring range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 CAD annually and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
