Job Details

Mercury is building financial products to help startups and small businesses scale. We ourselves have done a lot of scaling over the past few years and we’re just getting started!

We give our employees the option to work remotely or from an office (part time or full time). While we love having the flexibility and optionality of a remote set-up, there is nothing that fully replaces the magic and energy you feel when working in an office with your coworkers.

Our offices serve as meeting places for cultural events, team onsites, company planning sessions, or simply a change in scenery for our team. The Employee Experience teams’ main goals are to serve as cultural beacons for each of our offices, and to make the time spent in our offices as special and enjoyable as possible for our team, ideally so much so that people choose to come in all the time!

We’re looking for a Senior Workplace Operations Specialist to lead the day-to-day office experience in our NYC space. This person will create a warm, functional, and high-caliber environment where people want to come in, connect, and do their best work.

You will:

  • Serve as a cultural ambassador and on-site presence for the NYC office
  • Run daily office operations, including vendor management, amenities, safety, and design
  • Partner with teams to align office experience with business goals and team dynamics
  • Coordinate local events, celebrations, and employee-led initiatives
  • Lead the NYC office move, coordinating with IT, design, AV, and Property Management
  • Communicate updates, policies, and programs clearly to local employees
  • Ensure services are delivered with high quality, efficiency, and cost-consciousness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, People, Finance, and Real Estate teams
  • Keep the space beautiful, organized, and aligned with Mercury’s aesthetic

You should:

  • Be NYC-based and in office daily
  • Be people-oriented, detail-obsessed, and operations-savvy
  • Love systems, tools, and refining processes
  • Have strong event planning instincts and a great eye for design
  • Be resourceful, proactive, and excited to build culture from the ground up
  • Listen with empathy, act with care, and enjoy a good laugh (or a bad one)
  • Stay curious—especially about food, people, and what makes a space feel special

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. • US employees in New York City, NY: $106,200 - $132,800
