The Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Manager - XR/Android will be responsible for driving revenue growth through collaborations and identifying new business opportunities within the XR and Android ecosystems. This role involves negotiating contracts with developers, building relationships with strategic partners, managing milestones, serving as a daily point of contact for developer teams, problem-solving, ensuring quality assurance, and managing documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in negotiating high-value partnership agreements, established industry contacts, and in-depth knowledge of the VR/AR industry. Responsibilities also include lead generation, market research, developing monetization strategies, tracking KPIs, identifying co-development opportunities, and attending international conferences.

Responsibilities
About Team: We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with developers throughout their app development cycle, from initial business development and contract negotiations, to launch, to ongoing updates and marketing activities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term success of our developers in our ecosystem. Your responsibilities extend across departments and require you to collaborate cross-functionally with legal, marketing, operations, SDK, finance, and other teams to ensure a world-class developer experience. -You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners, driving revenue growth through collaborations, and identifying new business opportunities. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong negotiation skills, and an ability to navigate complex deal structures in the XR and Android ecosystem. Responsibilities: - Business Development: Serve as the point of contact for negotiating and closing contracts with new and existing developers. - Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate relationships with key industry players to drive collaborative initiatives and co-marketing opportunities. - Lead Generation: Find and develop relationships with developers inside and outside of the XR and Android industries. - Milestone Management: Follow up with developers to ensure timely delivery of builds and assets, as well as internal teams to ensure applications ship according to agreed-upon dates. - Daily Point of Contact: Serve as the daily point of contact for your developer teams. - Problem-Solving: Assist teams in resolving issues with the SDK, Publishing Console, or Game Services to ensure their app functions as expected. - Quality Assurance: Share results from our internal QA team and manage turnaround times between teams for scheduled app launches. - Documentation: Ensure that paperwork, including contracts, invoices, NDAs, etc., is filed in a timely manner. - Technical Acumen: Be knowledgeable of the Pico strategy, SDK, and Features Roadmap. - Team Meetings: Attend weekly team meetings to report on project progress. - Market Research: Research and report on promising apps that may appeal to the Pico audience. - Revenue Growth: Collaborate with finance and marketing teams to develop monetization strategies and maximize business opportunities. - Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyze KPIs for partnerships, providing regular performance reports to key stakeholders. - Emerging Opportunities: Identify and secure co-development or co-investment opportunities with strategic partners. - Travel to International Conferences and Events: Identify and travel to key conferences and events to meet with important partners and find new emerging partners.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Proven track record of negotiating and executing high-value partnership agreements. - Strong industry contacts with established companies in both XR and Android, as well as contacts in the larger tech space. - Relevant industry work experience in business development, strategic partnerships, account management, product marketing, publishing, or platform partnerships. - In-depth knowledge of the virtual reality, application, mobile, or digital content industry. - Experience negotiating contracts and structuring partnership deals. - Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities across functions (e.g., creative teams, legal, policy, marketing, partnerships, ops, finance, and engineering). - Effectiveness in working independently in a fast-paced and fluid environment; experience in adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating to the appropriate team. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in creating business briefs and go-to-market strategies and plans, including audience definition, positioning statements, and clearly defined value propositions. - Hands-on experience managing the launch and lifecycle of successful applications. - Familiarity with databases, JIRA, or similar programs like Asana, etc. - Familiarity with cloud technologies and XR/Android hardware ecosystems. - Experience collaborating with first-party platforms - Understanding of regional market trends for XR adoption (APAC, EU, North America, etc.).

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $153000 - $212800 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
