As a Systems Architect, you will lead the overall engineering design activities. You will lead the systems engineering design activities and support the systems requirement definition. You will also identify and manage design reference data and support proposals. The role requires defining physical architecture and translating user needs to define engineering standards.

About This Role

                                                                                                         

As a Systems Architect (SA), you will lead the overall engineering design activities across the definition and execution phases of the applicable projects or proposals. The SA would exhibit a high level of knowledge of the functional and physical architecture while ensuring the ongoing and holistic management of the given training system.

The role we are offering you

  • Lead the systems engineering design activities applicable to a project or upgrade
  • Support the systems requirement definition of the Functional Baseline (FBL)
  • Identify and manage all design reference data, ensuring correct identification as part of the requirement analysis phase
  • Support proposals as or with an Integrated Solutions Lead in according with the Lead-to-Award process

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Strong experience in systems engineering, with a major focus on Systems Architecture, or related field
  • Ability to define a sound physical architecture that encompasses the user needs, holistically
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and/or technical discipline
  • Proven ability to translate and map the user’s needs to define effective and efficient engineering standards

Location:

  • This role will be ideally located in Homebush, NSW
  • We operate a hybrid working approach.

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
