Job Description

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in expanding revenue and market share for TransUnion's products and services. Your responsibilities include facilitating and closing sales for various offerings, executing contract negotiations, and actively managing an allocated portfolio. You will be expected to meet key performance indicators, build strong relationships with clients, and identify new revenue streams while adhering to company policies and maintaining in-depth product knowledge. The role also involves direct interaction with clients, negotiating prices, and collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Operations, and Marketing. You will also be required to identify risks to the business and act accordingly.

  • Experience in sales or working with challenging targets.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good sales ability and related skills.
  • Ability to meet individual and team KPIs.

What You'll Bring:

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our growing team. 

In the role of Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a key role to increase revenue and market share of all TU products and services within T4 Segments and sectors.

The BDR will facilitate and close sales between single products and solution-selling set offerings along with execute on contract negotiations. The BDE will also be responsible for the protection and growth for their allocated portfolio as well as prospect for new business.

Day to Day You’ll Be:

  • Meet scorecard KPI's and objectives; to include call times, opportunities created and closed, and revenue generation.
  • Build relationships with key influencers and users within assigned client portfolios.
  • Work as part of a team to develop and introduce new revenue streams from identifying sector whitespace, new market opportunities, legislative requirements and marketing channels
  • Achieve revenue targets in line with budget
  • Request contracts and ensure they are sent to the client correct and in order via DocuSign.
  • Engage with other departments such as legal, compliance and finance to manage deals
  • Identify risks to the business and act according to company policy
  • Maintain learning on our suite of products and permitted purposes of our data
  • Sells a portfolio of the organisation’s products directly to end-user organisations.
  • Has structured direct contact with clients and authority for negotiation on price within an approved range
  • Identifies opportunities to develop new products and services by working closely with customers/clients whilst maintaining existing revenue streams
  • Builds relationships with key influencers and users within designated client/customer base.
  • Sends introductory emails to prospective clients and follow up emails with product information.
  • Undertakes weekly prospecting sessions to research to identify new prospects.
  • Qualifies and responds to incoming enquiries.
  • Provides support on existing client/customer accounts.
  • Maintains CRM (salesforce) details on portfolio in line with guidelines
  • Establishes cohesive links and relationships with internal teams including Sales, Operations and Marketing.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of working in a sales role and/or working with challenging targets within B2B/B2C sectors
  • Account management and experience of growing accounts to achieve targets
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Display good sales ability and skills
  • Able to meet individual and team KPIs
  • Negotiation skills and able to articulate well
  • Highly self-motivated and acts with integrity
  • Sales driven with a proven ability to work towards targets
  • A Level’s or equivalent
