The Commercial Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative aspects of cross-market client engagements, ensuring smooth, scalable, and consistent operational finance processes. The role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, PMOs, and Finance teams to ensure accurate project measurement, time and cost tracking, and seamless invoicing and intercompany flows. Key responsibilities include leading financial coordination, monitoring project-level data, supporting project setup and tracking, reconciling time tracking across platforms, and overseeing invoicing and intercompany billing. This role reports to the Executive Operating Officer.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to join our Operations team to help anchor the financial and administrative side of cross-market client engagements. As our international commercial footprint grows, this role will play a critical part in ensuring smooth, scalable, and consistent operational finance processes.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, PMOs, and Finance teams to make sure projects are measured correct, time and cost tracking are accurate cross markets and platforms, and invoicing and intercompany flows run seamlessly. It’s a hands-on role for someone who thrives on operational details.

The role reports to our Executive Operating Officer.
 

Tasks and responsibilities:


Regional Commercial Coordination

  • Lead ongoing financial coordination of cross market projects to ensure market specific contribution clarity and alignment
  • Monitor project-level financial data and proactively highlight issues or misalignments


Project Setup & Financial Hygiene

  • Support accurate project creation and tracking
  • Reconcile time tracking across multiple platforms (e.g., D365, Marathon, Workbook, Medvind)
  • Validate data used for PMO reports and invoicing processes


Invoicing & Intercompany Billing Oversight

  • Work closely with Project Managers to prepare client-facing invoices
  • Coordinate internal approval flows for intercompany overviews
  • Maintain and update invoice summaries, billing trackers, and supporting documentation
     

Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial finance, project controlling, or operational finance within a matrix or regional structure is plus
  • Proficiency with tools such as Workbook, D365, Salesforce, and WorkFront (or comparable systems)
  • Understanding of time tracking, intercompany billing, and financial coordination across teams
  • Clear communicator with the ability to align stakeholders across departments and regions
  • Fluent in English (additional language skills a plus, but not required)
