FindLaw is a leading provider of online legal marketing services, empowering legal professionals, consumers, and businesses with comprehensive legal resources. Their mission is to help attorneys and law firms grow their practices confidently by increasing awareness, improving reputation management, and driving case volumes. The Field Sales Executive will be responsible for developing new customer accounts in the legal community, traveling through assigned territories to support business needs, and utilizing prospecting and consultative selling skills. This role also involves partnering with the internal Account Management team for post-sales satisfaction and retention of existing clients. The position is part of a formal field sales development program, offering training and experience for potential advancement.
Must have:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Outside sales experience in a professional B2B environment.
  • Proven sales success and consistent performance.
  • Experience developing new accounts through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Working knowledge of sales process and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven organization and time management skills.

FindLaw Field Sales Executive Job Description:

What You’ll Do: As a Field Sales Executive you will be responsible for developing and growing new customer accounts in the legal community. You will move through assigned territories across the country on a monthly basis to help support the needs of the business. Each territory consists of a large base of small-mid law firms. You will utilize your prospecting and consultative selling skills, high energy and initiative to quickly identify opportunities to provide FindLaw web-based marketing and advertising solutions.  You will also be responsible to partner with our internal Account Management team related to the post-sales satisfaction and retention of existing FindLaw customers. 
About the Role: 
  • Responsible for the attainment of sales targets and quota on a monthly basis in assigned territory.
  • Consult with the client regarding web-based marketing strategies and solutions that will meet their business needs and will improve their ability to generate business.
  • Strategically grow a customer base through prospecting and cold calling. 
  • Create and maintain sales pipeline through accurate and complete information in Salesforce.com CRM database including activity, closing, project forecast, close ratios and market intelligence.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete line of products/services and customers business issues and needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding existing and new clients to identify and resolve client concerns; establish and maintain current and potential client relationships. 
  • This position is part of a formal field sales development program designed to provide training and experience to position the individual to move into a field-based Senior Sales Executive, Digital Solutions if desired
About You:
Experience:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in outside sales in a professional B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of sales success, fast growth and consistently achieving performance at 100%+.
  • Proven track record of developing new customer accounts requiring heavy prospecting, cold calling, appointment setting and closing ability 
  • Previous sales experience in online/advertising environment a plus. 
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Working knowledge of sales process, methods and techniques.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to interpret marketplace needs and translate them into products and/or services.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills—including the ability to make a conceptual product tangible to potential customers, and develop and deliver effective presentations
  • Proven organization skills, effective time management skills and ability to work independently
Travel:
  • This position is a virtual position, you may be required to travel for annual sales trainings.

Compensation: $70,000 base + uncapped commission, averaging $60,000-$80,000. At quota, our top earners are around $175K OTE.
