Job Description

This is an internship opportunity within the Operational Material Management (OMM) team of Factory Best, part of the Diagnostic X-Ray (DXR) Supply Chain team at Philips Health Systems. The intern will learn from the Operational Buying Team, collaborating with Procurement Engineers, Supplier Account Managers, and suppliers. Responsibilities include gathering information, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions. The intern will also support daily management operating rhythms, weekly KPI report outs, material inflow, and inventory monitoring activities, as well as material processes in the factory. The internship is for 6 months, starting in August or September 2025, with a working schedule of 32-40 hours per week. The applicant should apply before June 25th.
Must have:
  • Currently studying towards a Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain or related
  • Experience or affinity with Supply chain or procurement, planning, and/or order management is preferred
  • Strong in Excel
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive attitude and problem solver
  • Able to work independently
  • Willingness to further develop analytical and intellectual capabilities
  • Fluent in oral and written English
Good to have:
  • Experience in Power BI

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Learn from the Operational Buying Team. You'll be working closely together with this team, but also Procurement Engineers from the business unit and Supplier Account Managers and many suppliers of Factory Best.

You are responsible for

  • Gathering relevant information on problems, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions

  • Prepare for and support in the Daily Management operating rhythms of the organization and the weekly KPI report outs

  • Support on material inflow activities

  • Support on inventory monitoring activities

  • Support on material processes in the factory


You are a part of

The Operational Material Management (OMM) team of Factory Best, within the Diagnostic X-Ray (DXR) Supply Chain team in Philips Health Systems. This team consists of Operational Buyers, Supplier Performance Managers and End-Of-Life Analysts, and acts as interface between production, procurement, planning and order management within our Supply Chain.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain or related, and will be enrolled as a student for the whole internship period

  • Experience in or affinity with Supply chain or e.g. procurement, planning, master data management and/or order management is preferred

  • Strong in Excel, experience in Power BI is a plus

  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills (team player)

  • Proactive attitude, problem solver and able to work independently

  • Willingness to further develop analytical and intellectual capabilities

  • Fluent in oral and written English

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net depending on the distance between your home address and the Philips location.

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. As part of the internship you will be required to work in Best min. 2 days a week.
