Nasdaq India is looking for a Senior Sales Specialist to join their Financial Technology business unit in Mumbai. The role involves promoting and selling Financial Technology solutions, Regulatory Technology solutions, and Market Platforms Technology. Responsibilities include developing sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, conducting market research, delivering sales presentations, negotiating deals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role also includes regular sales reporting and attending industry events. The ideal candidate will work in a team delivering technology solutions to clients, take on more responsibility, and progress within the sales team.
Must have:
  • 7 years of relevant sales experience in Financial markets.
  • Consistent record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Salesforce maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in English.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, risk, compliance, and trading applications.
  • Proven track record in selling solutions for Risk and Surveillance.
  • Knowledge in Regulatory Reporting and Treasury Management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, and sales analytics tools like 6Sense.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Details

Nasdaq India are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Specialist to join our Financial Technology business unit in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding and relevant experience in the Capital Markets sector, either in treasury and / or regulatory verticals of banking, or in other capital markets firms. In addition, they need to have a proven track record of driving new sales success, and the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans. This role demands a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our comprehensive range of Financial Technology solutions, Regulatory Technology solutions and Market Platforms Technology.

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong expert team delivering sophisticated technology solutions to clients. You will work with and learn from subject matter authorities, and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress within the sales team.  Besides working closely with your colleagues in Mumbai, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the Financial Technology sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and prospecting.
  • Be a hunter, hit the ground running, and build strong actionable pipeline.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing our Financial Technology solutions.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring mutually helpful terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a flawless customer experience.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Attend industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to represent the company and promote our products and services.

We expect you to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience in the Financial markets.
  • Consistent record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Technology solutions, knowledge of risk and surveillance, regulatory and financial reporting, treasury and collateral management / settlement solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Salesforce maintenance
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
