Job Details

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner with a passion for slots game development, adept at defining robust platform requirements, and collaborating closely with slots studios to deliver on a strategic technology roadmap. This role will be highly visible to senior leadership and central to defining the product requirements that support the development of innovative gaming products and platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of stakeholder needs, industry trends, and player behavior in the land-based gambling sector. The Technical Product Manager will engage extensively with cross functional development teams to ensure high-value deliverables are achieved. Key responsibilities include technical requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, dependency alignment, and engaging with customers.  The individual will work closely with platform management teams, GDK teams and game studios to ensure that product releases meet market requirements and the needs of our studios. This role will be instrumental in driving Aristocrat’s mission to maintain its leading position in the market through effective and creative product strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision of the Class 3, Class 2 and hybrid gaming platforms, aligning with company goals and market trends.

  • Support development of high-quality products through clear and complete product requirements at the start of development.

  • Work directly with cross functional agile teams to deliver on sprint priorities.

  • Build strong relationships with internal engineering teams and technical project managers both at customer and partnership level.

  • Work directly with game studios to understand, prioritize, and address their needs and pain points.

  • Run multiple concurrent initiatives, each with unique stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with technology delivery leads to commit to and execute on product delivery timelines.

  • Align dependencies across technology stacks and participates in defining product solutions to deliver a product meeting market need.

  • Serve as a team representative at all levels, including customers and executive leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience documenting software product requirements and product backlog management.

  • 5+ years of experience in understanding and communicating a product vision.

  • 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams, especially with software developers, project managers, and other product managers.

  • 2+ years of experience leading platforms, GDKs, or other enterprise products, where the product and customer is technical in nature.

  • 2+ years of experience leading products that involve integrating new solutions within existing frameworks, and ensuring backwards compatibility

  • Have a technical degree in the field of software engineering or similar.

  • An understanding of slot gameplay mechanics or game development experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to compile documentation and report accurate and consumable product status.

  • Must be able to comprehend technical challenges, understand limitations and impact to the customer, and manage risk in reviewing technology options.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; welcomes the challenge of refining a high-level vision into deliverable requirements.

  • Must be a “team-player” with the ability to work within collaborative environments to organize and facilitate program reviews, roadmap reviews, new product initiation meetings and investigations, and business case reviews.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Pay Range

$132,825 - $246,675 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
