Consumer Game Translation Check/Editing

Summary

You will be responsible for reviewing text content for consumer games translated from English, performing quality checks, and correcting mistranslations. The target language will be one of French, German, or Spanish, which will be the applicant's native language.

• Understanding scenario and UI context by playing in-development builds of the game.
• Reviewing translated text content with the aim of improving quality.
• Correcting translation errors and inconsistencies with in-game context during gameplay.
• Performing revisions resulting from changes made to the original English text.
• Re-verifying the target language text within the game and performing localization QA.

Required Skills

• Native-level proficiency in a European language (French, German, or Spanish)
• Business-level proficiency in English
• Daily life/conversational level proficiency in Japanese
• General computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience in translation work
• A fondness for video games and Japanese entertainment content
