The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing spend forecasts within Autodesk’s corporate functions and reporting and analyzing consolidated data supporting FP&A-G&A FBPs. The role includes creating financial models to monitor forecast changes, assess risks, and evaluate business initiatives. Responsibilities include forecasting headcount and variable spend, ensuring compliance with financial policies, leading end-of-quarter spend forecast analysis, preparing financial analyses, and implementing process improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills and communication of key business insights.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting or STEM preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with financial modeling.
Good to have:
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • Experience in Finance, Investment Banking or Consulting.
  • Experience with financial software (e.g. Anaplan, Power BI etc.)

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated finance professional with a strong analytical mindset, proven ability to analyze large data sets and concisely communicate key business insights to senior stakeholders. The position is focused on managing spend forecasts within Autodesk’s corporate functions and reporting and analyzing consolidated data supporting FP&A-G&A FBPs. You will also be responsible for creating a roadmap and financial models for monitoring forecast changes and attainment, allowing key stakeholders to accurately assess risk, opportunities, and performance of business initiatives.

Responsibilities  

  • Work closely with FP&A-G&A team to forecast headcount and variable spend and provide necessary forecast, analysis and take proactive steps to achieve financial targets and maintain quarterly variance of no more than 1%

  • Ensure compliance with financial and accounting policies and programs

  • Lead the end of quarter spend forecast analysis and consolidations across FP&A-G&A teams

  • Prepare critical financial analyses and executive level presentations to help stakeholders and investor relations understand the context or 'why' behind our financial results  

  • Implement process improvements, automations and creation of dashboards focused on providing insights to FP&A-G&A FBPs and business partners

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor in Finance/Accounting or STEM preferred; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred

  • 2+ years of related experience

  • Prior experience in Finance, Investment Banking or Consulting

  • Advanced skills and experience building complex financial models

  • Strong aptitude for, experience with, or desire to learn financial software (e.g. Anaplan, Power BI etc.)
