The HR Manager at Scientific Games will provide strategic HR guidance and coaching to leaders and employees. This highly visible role requires partnering with business leaders to develop and implement HR plans aligned with company objectives. Responsibilities include talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, and ensuring legal compliance. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to influence change. The role involves managing employee relations issues, collaborating with the talent acquisition team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Position Summary

The HR Manager will provide consultative guidance and coaching to leaders and employees on human resources related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives.  The HR Manager is a highly-visible, hands-on customer-focused strategic partner.  The HR Manager will provide guidance on talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation and other areas as needed.

Job Functions:

  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and communicate to business leaders proactively, seeking to develop solutions aligned to Scientific Games business objectives and mission, vision and values.
  • Understand business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business
  • Drive data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, organizational effectiveness, and the employee experience
  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition team and managers to develop and implement a proactive strategy for recruitment and retention of employees
  • Consult with managers regarding termination decisions while working closely with internal counsel
  • Manage employee relations issues including disciplinary action, conflict resolution, performance management and investigations while providing expert guidance to resolve issues, mitigate risk and ensure legal compliance
  • Facilitate discussions with compensation team and managers to evaluate compensation, consult on role classification, promotion and other compensation changes
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipate legislation. This includes DOL changes, FLSA classification, unemployment documentation, audits, etc.

Qualifications

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field required
  • 5+ years’ Human Resources experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Experience with Human Resource Management software
