SoundCloud is seeking a Project Manager to lead paid media and creative production initiatives. This role involves accelerating creative output and iteration velocity by partnering with marketing colleagues and collaborating with in-house visual designers to ensure smooth workflows. The Project Manager will transform strategic goals into creative briefs, evaluate and iterate on ad concepts for various platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Meta, and Snapchat, and manage creative production cycles. Responsibilities include platform-specific content strategy, leveraging knowledge of ad formats and best practices, facilitating daily syncing, asset tracking, and quality assurance. The role also emphasizes testing and iteration through A/B tests, refining creative direction using performance insights, and translating audience personas into compelling creatives. Collaboration with Paid Media, Design, and Graphic teams to improve processes and align output with strategy, budget, and timelines is crucial.
Must have:
  • 3-5+ years in Project Management, Creative Operations, or Production

  • Deep understanding of ad platforms (TikTok, IG, Meta, Snapchat, Shorts)

SoundCloud is looking for a Project Manager who is focused on our paid media and creative production initiatives. Partnering with colleagues across marketing it’s your mission to accelerate creative output and iteration velocity, supporting both paid-media campaigns and in-house design production. You’ll also collaborate with our in-house visual designers, ensuring smooth workflows, alignment, and efficiency across all creative channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Briefing and building direction where you will be transforming strategic goals into precise creative briefs
  • Evaluating and iterating on ad concepts - design, tone, messaging and ensuring that they are thumb-stopping and platform-native
  • Platforming specific content strategy where you understand and guide the creation of ads optimized for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Meta, Snapchat, etc
  • Leveraging knowledge of targeting, ad formats, and creative best practices per platform
  • Creative production management where you'll be hands-off managing and reviewing cycles with the external and in-house graphic designer 
  • Facilitating daily syncing, asset tracking, and QA
  • Testing & Iteration where you'll be designing and executing A/B test structures and driving variation across creative concepts 
  • Utilizing performance insights to refine your creative direction
  • Focusing on audience and metrics --- translating audience personas into compelling creatives 
  • Collaboration and process improvement --- coordinating with Paid Media, Design, and Graphic teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements
  • Aligning output with strategy, budget, and timeline across all stakeholders

Experience and Background:

  • 3-5+ years of experience Project Management, Creative Operations, or Production roles in marketing, advertising, or creative services
  • Strong visual & copy sensibility — instinctively knows what makes a thumb‑stopping ad
  • Platform expertise — deep understanding of TikTok, IG, Meta, Snapchat, Shorts, and ad formats
  • Briefing & feedback excellence — can translate strategy into concise briefs and actionable creative insights
  • Data-driven optimization — comfortable optimizing creative performance via CTR, CPAS, ROAS, engagement metrics
  • Hands-on approach — mastering the right tools, you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to make resizes and small design changes when needed

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
