Job Description

The Senior Account Strategist will build and manage client relationships, achieving growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions. Responsibilities include understanding client business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics; owning a portfolio of medium and large businesses; developing data-driven analyses and recommendations; and building a strong knowledge of Google advertising products. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, analytical abilities, and the ability to present compelling narratives to clients. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting. Experience with paid digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads) and working with clients or agencies is preferred. The role involves up to 20% travel.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a business related field.
  • Experience in launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms).
  • Experience working with channel sales, advertisers, agencies, or clients.
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context, and achieve goals to drive growth.
  • Ability to build narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000-$148,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients virtually or face to face by meeting with multiple clients on a daily basis and developing an understanding of the business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals including but not limited to quarterly business growth and productivity goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet the marketing objectives.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large-size businesses by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement. 
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers. 
  • Build an knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help customers.
