Job Description
WebMD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team of 5-8 developers. Responsibilities include hands-on coding, mentoring, code reviewing, and collaborating with the team. The role involves developing backend applications using C#, .NET, Python, SQL Server, and CI/CD. You will also develop APIs using Apache SOLR and NodeJS, handle project responsibilities beyond development, and create technical models and documentation. The ideal candidate will champion development best practices, exhibit sound judgment, and stay updated on industry trends. A discretionary company bonus is also available.
Must have:
- 3+ years delivering large-scale web applications
- 3+ years in C#, .NET, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, Python
- Strong software development, debugging, and deployment tools knowledge
- Experience with Apache SOLR or Elasticsearch
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Creation of technical models and documentation
- Team player, willing to follow directions and take initiative
- Command over Git version control
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with code samples
Good to have:

Education: B.E. Computer Science/IT degree (or any other engineering discipline)
Experience: 5+ years
Comp range: Min: $108,000.00 - Max: $120,000.00. This position is also eligible for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results.

Position Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience delivering medium to large scale web applications, Rest API
- 3+ years of development experience in C#, .NET, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, Python.
- JavaScript is an added bonus.
- Strong knowledge of software development, debugging and deployment tools
- Experience with Apache SOLR or Elasticsearch
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Creation of technical models and documentation
- Must be a team player (team-oriented) and willing to follow directions, as well as take initiative
- Demonstrates command over version control software, preferably Git
- Willingness to learn and adapt to multiple technologies
- Experience in Code samples (examples: URLs with descriptions of which parts you developed, zip file, link to github.com or equivalent profile)
Role & Responsibilities:
- Be a part of a team of 5 - 8 developers. Daily tasks include hands-on coding, mentoring, guiding, code reviewing, and collaborating with the team.
- Develop backend applications using technologies such as C#, .NET, Python, SQL server, CI/CD.
- Develop APIs using Apache SOLR and NodeJS
- Handling project responsibilities beyond development and solutioning will include testing, generating documentation, and maintenance.
- Champion development and technical best practices and exhibit thoughtful and sound judgment.
- Proactively keep up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Drive adoption of new technologies and best practices.
