The Sr. Event Program Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing various projects such as trade shows, road shows, product launches, conferences, and training seminars. This role involves global coordination from initial concept to successful completion, including organizing meetings, developing timelines and budgets, collaborating with internal teams, managing logistics, negotiating vendor contracts, and tracking project milestones. The manager will also maintain event budgets, establish KPIs, and conduct post-event evaluations. The position requires strong project management skills, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent communication abilities.

Good to have:
  • Technical Marketing experience is a plus

The event program manager role is of high importance to NXP’s global marketing & communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing a variety of projects such as:  trade shows; road shows; product launches; conferences; press/analysts’ events; seminars, and sales/distributor training from beginning concept through project execution. 

In this global, cross-functional role, you are uniting people across the organization to keep projects moving forward. You’ll also work in close collaboration with business and marketing teams across the globe, as well as agencies. 

Your responsibilities will span several key areas, including:

Global coordination of event operations from the initial conception of the event to its successful completion

  • Organizing and leading event planning meetings
  • Event Brief development
  • Develop project timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Creative, MarCom, PR, Social Media, Web, Procurement, Finance and Legal) and create presentations for planning meetings
  • Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts
  • Track project milestones
  • Identify product demos and determine the most effective way to showcase
  • Accountable for managing to approved budgets
  • Review and process vendor invoices
  • Complete database reporting for all projects
  • Manage setup and event execution

Maintain Event Budgets and Measurement 

  • Perform budgeting for event plans, align needs with performance goals, and track spend against budget
  • Establish and track KPIs for events
  • Conduct post-event meetings to evaluate results/metrics

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Communications, Hotel/Restaurant Management, or Marketing with 8-10 years of direct event management experience.   Technical Marketing experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and event database systems
  • Proficiency in the English language is a must; multi-language proficiency is preferred
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple event projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Adaptable to fast paced changing environment
  • Available to travel and manage on-site event projects; lifting of heavy demo and event equipment is necessary, and execute event projects with high ethical standards in alignment with NXP policies
    Ultimate team player with ability to work with a global and highly matrixed team, including stakeholders in Europe, North America, and Asia
