Job Description

The Account Executive will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, including c-suite decision-makers. They will create a long-term account strategy aligned with customer goals, collaborate with teams to meet customer needs, and contribute to account planning. The role also involves being a trusted advisor, understanding client businesses, and aligning Zscaler solutions with their goals. They will develop tailored strategic initiatives to address customer-specific challenges, utilizing innovative Zscaler solutions to enhance operational efficiency and cybersecurity posture. The candidate should have experience in sales and be familiar with the software or security industry.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of full-cycle sales experience in software or security.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in strategic sales planning with experience closing net new logos.
  • Progressive selling experience engaging with accounts and selling at C-Level.
Good to have:
  • Established relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Understanding of customer goals and how technology can facilitate them.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.

We're looking for a Sr Federal DoD Account Executive in the D.C./MD/VA area to join our team. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including c-suite decision-makers
  • Create a long-term account strategy aligned with customer goals
  • Collaborate with our teams to meet customer needs and contribute to account planning
  • Be a trusted advisor, understanding client businesses and aligning Zscaler solutions with their goals
  • Develop tailored strategic initiatives to address customer-specific challenges, utilizing innovative Zscaler solutions to enhance operational efficiency and cybersecurity posture.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of full-cycle sales experience within software or security industry
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in strategic sales planning with experience closing net new logos
  • Progressive selling experience engaging with accounts and selling at C-Level

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • You have established relationships with current and prospective customers and understand the bigger picture, customer goals and how technology can facilitate them
  • Proficiency in strategic sales planning with experience closing net new logos
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and closing complex, high-value deals within the software or cybersecurity sector.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$131,250 - $187,500 USD
