Job Description

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality software, create unit test cases, and document code. You will also support live systems with maintenance and triage. The ideal candidate should have strong design and problem-solving skills, experience with Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, and cloud environments. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-performance and low-latency systems. The engineer should be a proactive communicator and an excellent analyst, capable of taking ambiguous problems from concept to completion. This role requires someone who loves technology, stays current, and is driven.

Must have:

5+ years of experience in a product SAAS company, ideally ML
High proficiency in Golang or similar compiled language software.
Strong computer science understanding - e.g. data structures and algorithms
Experience working with docker, kubernetes
Strong architecture and development experience (hands-on) - APIs, microservices

Good to have:

Experience working with WebSocket servers is a plus.
Experience working on cloud environments (especially GCP) is also desirable.
Experience managing data and data pipelines is a plus.

We are looking for a talented and ambitious software engineer who wants to be part of a fast-moving and entrepreneurial team working on leading-edge natural language understanding software systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, development, and delivery of high-quality software.
Unit test case development & unit testing.
Design & code documentation.
Support live systems with maintenance, triage, and support as necessary.

Experience You’ll Need:

5+ years of experience in a product SAAS company, ideally ML
High proficiency in Golang or similar compiled language software. Python is a plus.
