Job Summary

Job Description

The responsibilities of a Characterization Engineer in Product Development for Industrial applications include performing product-level characterization under various test conditions (room, high, and low ambient temperature) and for different unit counts. This role involves building test setups for low and high voltage characterization of PCB-based Gate Drivers, conducting lab-based evaluations of components, and performing low voltage characterization, especially type test measurements. The engineer will also conduct high voltage measurements of power electronic components, generate internal technical documentation (test reports, test plans), maintain laboratory infrastructure and safety for high voltage applications, assemble PCB Gate Driver units, assist in purchasing components and equipment, and collaborate with related industrial groups like Marketing, IC Development, Application Engineering, Operations, and Quality.
Must have:
  • Degree in electronic engineering or related fields.
  • 2 years of experience in evaluations/characterization of power electronics board level components.
  • Experience in low-voltage and high-voltage measurement techniques.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, DMM, AC/DC sources, thermal cameras, etc.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation (Simetrix, LTSpice).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Learning capability and willingness to be trained.
  • Resilient under stress.
  • A team player.
