Job Description

The Director of Sales, North America, will lead and grow Prophecy's software sales efforts in North America. Responsibilities include leading a high-performing sales team, driving revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and executing go-to-market strategies. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in enterprise software sales, particularly in data or SaaS. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, customer engagement, and team development skills. Collaboration with other departments is crucial to align sales strategies with company goals. Experience with sales forecasting tools (e.g., Clari), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and data-driven decision-making is also essential.

About The Role 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales, North America to lead and grow our software sales efforts in North America. This person will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, leading a high-performing sales team, and expanding our customer base. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in enterprise software sales, particularly in the data or SaaS space. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

You Will Need Experience With

  • Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team across North America, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, expand market share, and meet business objectives.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive consistent pipeline growth through effective team management, forecasting, and execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Customer Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key enterprise customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Team Development: Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent while promoting professional development and career growth within the team.
  • Coaching & Development: Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior sales leadership, enablement, marketing, customer success, and product teams to align sales strategies with overall company goals.

Ideally You Would Have

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role. Experience in the data engineering, analytics, or SaaS space is a must. 
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding revenue targets and leading large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day operational priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting (using tools like Clari), CRM tools (such as Salesforce), and data-driven decision-making.
