Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Head of Logistics B2B Sales to drive sales growth and expand our client base in the logistics and supply chain industry. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with clients, and providing tailored logistics solutions. You will identify new clients, hunt for opportunities, and work with logistics business and tech teams to create solutions. Responsibilities include sales and business development, identifying potential B2B clients, developing and executing sales strategies, building and managing a pipeline of prospects, managing an internal team of business development specialists, analyzing industry trends, and collaborating with product, tech, ops, and business teams.
Must have:
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in related field
  • Proven experience in B2B sales in the logistics industry
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

About The Role

To build the sales pipeline, not only will you be identifying new clients, but you will be hunting for the next big opportunity, and working with the logistics business and tech teams to create solutions that will unlock new market opportunities.

What You Will do
  • Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and target potential B2B clients in need of logistics and supply chain solutions
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new customers and increase market share
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects to ensure a consistent flow of business opportunities

  • Team Management
  • Manage internal team of business development specialists to cover more customers

  • Market Research & Strategy
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to refine sales strategies
  • Develop pricing strategies and service offerings in alignment with company goals

  • Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with product, tech, ops and business teams to create proposals for new business lines
  • Provide feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement of logistics solutions

What You Will Need
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in related field
  • Proven experience in B2B sales and business development in the logistics industry (e.g., Regular package business delivery, on-demand logistics, warehousing, supply chain solutions)
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field

About The Team
Our Logistics team is a family of 20ish folks in Indonesia. As fuel is to our Gojek drivers, we are to Gojek: driving the Logistics business from the inside out. The gist of our team’s responsibility is to develop business strategies to encourage continuous growth in a sustainable manner to become the leader in the market. How does one achieve this, you may ask? By becoming strategic, data-driven, yet pragmatic in everything that we do. 

Our team is particularly driven by our shared passion to always deliver the best we possibly can. We are working on several projects now, including one about developing a machine learning model to provide the best booking experience for our customers and drivers from end-to-end so that we can reach a wider customer base profitably.

We're a team that's equally concerned with the growth of our product as with each other's personal growth and well-being, as well. When our laptops are shut, you'd probably find us binge-watching Friends on Netflix (yes, probably for the eighth time), hovering around the city with GoCar to try out new good spots in town (what can we say… we are loyal!). We work hard and play hard and take pride in what we do!
