Job Description

Novotel Jakarta Cikini is seeking a Sales Manager to achieve daily sales call targets and develop business leads for the hotel. The role involves preparing monthly account penetration plans, conducting site inspections, and reviewing account profiles for room nights production and average rates. The Sales Manager will monitor competitor strategies and maintain competitive edge. Responsibilities include managing accounts, contracting, updating profiles, and renewing contracts. The position also requires up-selling and cross-selling hotel facilities and services to maximize sales revenue, conducting negotiations for optimal profit and rates, attending business events, and updating management on market trends. The candidate will be responsible for accounts under their management, including contracting, updating profiles, and renewing contracts.
Must have:
  • Achieve daily targeted number of sales calls.
  • Develop business leads weekly.
  • Prepare monthly account penetration plans.
  • Plan site inspections/meetings weekly.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent English language proficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, training skills.
  • Good communication and customer contact skills.
  • Service oriented with eye for details.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Team player and builder.
  • Motivator and self-starter.
  • Professionally groomed.
Good to have:

Job Description

  • Achieve daily targeted number of sales calls with effectiveness
  • Develop business leads for the Hotel on a weekly basis
  • Prepare monthly list of accounts to penetrate for the following month
  • Plan a minimum of 2 site inspections/entertainment meetings per week to qualified potential accounts or new accounts
  • Prepare monthly action plan for main market segment
  • Perform monthly review account profile on room nights production and average rate
  • Monitor competitors’ rate strategy, account penetration and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge
  • Fully responsible of accounts under his/her management , including contracting, updating profile and renewing contracts
  • Update management on VIP arrivals, meet and greet accordingly
  • Up-sell, cross-sell and promote Hotel facilities & services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue
  • Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the Hotel
  • Attend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility
  • Update Director of Sales & Marketing on market trends and business leads

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Able to communicate professionally in Mandarin is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills
  • Good communication and customer contact skills
  • Service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to work well in stressful & high-pressure situations
  • A team player & builder
  • A motivator & self-starter
  • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
