Key responsibilities include leading the regional sales plan execution, identifying collaboration opportunities, aligning sales resources, partnering with customer strategy teams, capturing and delivering Voice of Customer to Product Management, ensuring a unified LSEG message, and developing sales specialists to enhance performance. The role requires influencing senior leaders, exceeding sales targets, and demonstrating expertise in the index and financial product domain.

Position Summary
 

The Regional Head of Sales, FTSE Russell is a critical leadership role that reports to the Group Leader, Global Head of Sales, FTSE Russell with a dotted line to the Regional Group Head, Sales and Account Management.  This role will sit on both leadership teams and manage a team of regional sales specialists to drive growth of asset-based and subscription gross sales related to the FTSE Russell index ecosystem.

The Regional Head will partner closely with the customer strategy team and the broader SAM and FTSE Russell leadership teams to develop and deliver or exceed the sales expectations.  This role will also lead active engagement with FTSE Russell’s clients to drive growth of the FTSE Russell index ecosystem and index product usage in the region.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead on regional execution of the FTSE Russell sales plan in collaboration with key internal and external business stakeholders to drive growth in FTSE Russell benchmark adoption and the index product ecosystem
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to collaborate regionally across SAM and FTSE Russell to drive broader index adoption and ecosystem development
  • Ensure sales specialist resources are aligned and focused on key areas of opportunity and addressable market
  • Partner with customer strategy teams to identify opportunities for new business growth and ensure focused execution of product aligned and customer segment sales strategies
  • Build a culture within the regional FTSE sales specialist teams that systematically captures and delivers Voice of Customer (VoC) to Product Management to ensure capital allocation and associated product roadmaps align to strategic customer requirements
  • Ensure that FTSE sales specialist teams deliver a ONE LSEG message in all customer engagements and identify opportunities for cross sell/solution selling
  • Develop the FTSE Russell sales specialist to facilitate a high level of performance and engagement
  • Represent regional FTSE Sales at both the Regional SAM and Global FTSE Russell Sales leadership tables

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Ability to influence and manage key senior leaders across a matrix management
  • Proven track record of delivering high performance and exceeding sales targets
  • 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Strategic mindset alongside the ability to lead and drive on planning and execution
  • Client-centric with strong commercial acumen and ability to manage consultative engagements to solve client problems and drive benchmark adoption, wins & mandates
  • Deep subject matter expertise in the index and financial product domain with the ability to work across client segments
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Track record of leading high-performance teams and working with senior colleagues and stakeholders in a cross functional, global environment to deliver results
