Saviynt is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves overseeing general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a SaaS environment, possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, and be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. The role also focuses on process improvement and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- General ledger and financial reporting focus
- Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems
- NetSuite experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP/SOX
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical/organizational skills
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
Good to have:
- CPA designation or working towards it
- SaaS industry experience

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
- The Senior Staff Accountant – General Ledger will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of
- Saviynt’s financial records. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger, ensuring
- compliance with GAAP, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting in financial reporting.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a SaaS environment and demonstrate
- excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management:
- o Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- o Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and expense allocations.
- o Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Month-End and Year-End Close:
- o Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- o Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
- o Analyze financial data and variances to provide insights into company performance.
- Financial Reporting:
- o Support the preparation of internal and external financial statements.
- o Provide accurate schedules and reports to assist in audits and tax preparation.
- o Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with controls.
- Process Improvement:
- o Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- o Work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows.
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- o Assist in external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- o Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or working toward CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
- SaaS industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
