Position Summary
The Director of Product Marketing is a key leader in defining and advancing Scientific Games’ marketing strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop impactful strategic messaging and content for our high-priority initiatives. This role is crucial for crafting engaging narratives that align with Scientific Games' brand vision and product messaging across sales channels, ensuring our internal stakeholders are equipped with the best possible tools to drive commercial success and market differentiation. This individual plays a vital role in enhancing our ability to communicate SG’s value effectively, both internally and externally.
Job Functions:
Define and Execute Marketing Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for high-priority topics and product launches, liaising with Product Management, Communications, and Creative Engagement teams, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and brand guidelines.
- This includes owning the strategic project lifecycle from ideation through successful implementation.
Content and Message Leadership:
- Spearhead the creation of impactful marketing collateral, collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to clearly define products/services, articulate unique value propositions, highlight key benefits, and communicate relevant metrics.
- Oversee the creation of marketing collateral to ensure consistency in brand voice, visuals, and messaging across all touchpoints
Market & Product Intelligence:
- In partnership with SMEs and leadership, conduct thorough market and gap analyses to identify opportunities for messaging improvement, new product development, and competitive differentiation.
Strategic Project Management & Process Ownership:
- Initiate, plan, execute, and monitor strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Develop and optimize marketing processes to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and consistency across all strategic efforts.
Strategic Product Partner:
- Serve as key marketing consultant throughout the product management process, contributing strategic insights to market analysis, product strategy, product planning, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Act as the marketing liaison, collaborating with product management and other stakeholders to integrate marketing perspectives into product development roadmaps and launch plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence:
- Foster strong partnerships with marketing “team extensions” within other departments, ensuring cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to identify and develop strategies that enhance sales effectiveness and broaden business opportunities, ultimately increasing company profitability.
- Drive consensus and alignment among diverse internal stakeholders on strategic marketing initiatives.
Brand & Product Naming Stewardship:
- Lead the product naming strategy and process, ensuring cohesive branding that delivers unified messaging and clear positioning within the SG ecosystem.
Knowledge Transfer & Commercialization:
- Host product training webinars to enhance the internal socialization and understanding of product content.
- Serve as the editor for “Data in Motion” and various marketing-focused newsletters and alerts, facilitating internal commercialization of marketing materials.
Trend Analysis & Market Relevance:
- Stay abreast of consumer and lottery industry trends to ensure marketing content remains highly relevant, innovative, and complements broad strategic positioning.
Qualifications
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong focus on strategic marketing and content development.
- Proven experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and managing complex timelines effectively.
- Lottery or gaming industry experience preferred, but not mandatory; equivalent experience with another CPG (consumer product group) will also be highly valued.
- Conducts all activities in accordance with Company policy and procedures

- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- A proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships within a team and across an organization.
- Comfort and aptitude for leveraging technological tools (e.g., laptop computers, lottery terminals, etc.) to drive marketing efforts and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
