Job Description

The Sales Team Lead will develop and manage a team of Business Development Representatives, providing coaching and assistance during qualification and opportunity creation. They will also track and drive individual and team KPIs, manage administrative functions like hiring and scheduling. The role involves analyzing territory plans, developing sales strategies, monitoring calls, preparing sales forecasts using Salesforce.com, and intervening in customer interactions. Additionally, the lead will be responsible for student recruitment efforts. This role requires a hybrid work arrangement with virtual and in-person work at the assigned office location.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Develop and manage a team of Business Development Representatives, coaching and actively participating and providing assistance during qualification and opportunity creation
  • Track and drive individual and team level KPI's relative to targets and manage daily administrative functions such as hiring, scheduling, lead management, and performance evaluations
  • Analyzes territory plans and delegation of sales tasks to ensure maximum productivity and profitability
  • Assists sales associates in developing sales strategies for specific accounts and industries, helping to identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the defined strategy. When appropriate coordinates with field based sales on shared accounts.
  • Monitor and review phone calls for maximum effectiveness
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, quotas and other projections as required using Salesforce.com (CRM system) on a regular basis to monitor sales activities, pipeline, and opportunity management for the local field sales force 
  • Skillfully intervenes in contentious customer interactions to satisfy the customer and reinforce the sales associate’s account relationship
  • Lead and continue building student recruitment efforts and drive enrollment growth through effective outreach, relationship-building, and sales leadership
  • Represent TransUnion at college fairs, virtual events, and other outreach opportunities
  • Ability to lead a team to grow TransUnion’s footprint with existing customers

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $65,100.00 - $101,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
