Senior Manager, Programming and Analytics

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Strategy and Curation: Partner with the Head of Programming to develop and implement strategies that grow video audiences across CNET.com, Mashable.com, PCMag.com, and YouTube. Help define programming success metrics and contribute to slate reviews. Identify and research new video topics, formats, and coverage opportunities across brands, drawing from data insights.
  • Scheduling & Operations: Manage the programming calendar and lead day-to-day scheduling to ensure timely releases across platforms. Build and refine programming workflows in close collaboration with producers to enable smooth publishing and ensure content is platform-ready. Oversee daily publishing operations, channel management and community engagement on YouTube and other third-party channels.
  • YouTube Growth Strategies: Collaborate on YouTube growth and monetization strategies, including optimization, packaging, SEO, and affiliate-driven programming approaches. Monitor performance to identify high-potential formats to scale.
  • Audience Insights & Platform Standards & Best Practices: Collaborate with the BI team to interpret audience dashboards and performance reports. Translate data into programming insights and surface trends that can inform the team’s editorial and production decisions. Develop and document best practices for publishing across our owned-and-operated sites and YouTube, including guidance on titling, timing, thumbnails, and metadata. Share platform updates and recommendations with editorial teams.
Experience / Qualifications:
  • 3–6 years of experience in video programming at a digital publisher, streaming service, or media platform

  • Proven success growing video audiences across YouTube and owned-and-operated platforms

  • Skilled at interpreting audience data to inform content decisions and surface trends

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; able to manage complex workflows across multiple brands and stakeholders

  • Strong communicator and collaborator, with experience working closely across production, editorial, and analytics teams

  • Familiarity with content management systems and video publishing workflows

Nice to have:
  • Experience with affiliate, SEO, or monetization strategies for video

  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools for analytics, scheduling, and asset management

  • Interest in consumer tech and journalism

 

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
