Job Description

Ookla is seeking a Talent Acquisition Sourcer to partner with recruiters to understand hiring needs across multiple departments. The sourcer will identify and engage candidates through various platforms, build candidate pipelines, and conduct initial screenings. They will also collaborate with employer branding teams, track sourcing metrics, stay informed on market trends, and contribute to diversity sourcing efforts. This role requires strong online sourcing skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple roles. The sourcer will use Ookla data and insights to advance their mission of better connectivity for all, in a flexible work environment where individuality, fun, and talent are all valued equally. The sourcer will work on building a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Partner with Recruiters to understand hiring needs and role requirements across multiple departments.
  • Source, identify, and engage passive and active candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards, internal databases, and Boolean search techniques.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach and pre-screening to assess qualifications, interest, and cultural alignment.
  • Maintain and update candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure a smooth handoff to recruiters.
  • Collaborate with employer branding and marketing teams to promote job opportunities and enhance candidate engagement.
  • Track sourcing metrics and provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders to improve sourcing strategy.
  • Stay informed on market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive intelligence to support talent mapping.
  • Contribute to diversity sourcing efforts and ensure inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Participate in sourcing events, job fairs, and online talent communities to enhance talent pools.
 
Key Skills & Competencies:
 
  • Strong research and online sourcing skills (Boolean search, X-ray, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with ATS tools e.g Jobvite
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple open roles and shifting priorities
  • Proactive, resourceful, and data-driven in approach
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • 1–3 years of sourcing or recruitment experience, preferably in a fast-paced or tech environment
  • Knowledge of talent markets in APAC, EMEA, Americas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
