This is a permanent full-time role based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig following a hybrid work model setup (at least 2 in office days per week).

What You Will Do
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who will report directly to the Cloud Operations Manager. If you have the curiosity to learn new technology, enjoy traveling, love technical writing and have a deep passion for training, and thrive from building new relationships, this position may be right for you.
Ensure that the overall service (including people/processes/tools/infrastructure) is available and meeting agreed service level requirements.
Mentoring of Cloud Operations Analysts
Handle appropriate incidents (and problems) through to resolution, referring and raising to other resolver groups as required
Maintain operational run book, taking input from other teams as required
Ensure support for a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying areas for potentially improved automation and feeding back to relevant teams
Serve as a technical contact for critical production issues and drive customer concern/resolution of problems into Support and Engineering teams.
Create and maintain automated scripts that will build, configure, deploy, and test applications deployed to different environments; maintain, support, and enhance our continuous integration environment.
Work hands-on with the system, install, and configure, and test to ensure that it meets the customer’s technical and business requirements.
Support and interact with clients to lead Production Environments and ensure availability of the applications. Triage and analyze issues, including performance and connectivity issues
Create and document processes and standards.
Participate in resilience testing to maintain high levels of readiness to ensure business continuity.
At least 5+ years work experience
Proven understanding of public cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI)
Must have experience in DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Support.
Experience in CICD, Automation
Good interpersonal and communications skills, with an ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical people
Solid experience with centralized (n-tier) and decentralized (client/server) environment models.
Strong analytical skills and a familiarity with problem-solving, attention to detail and quality, and a desire for improvement
Good knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation (including tools like, GIT, Jenkins, Terraform).
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Unix Shell will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge on NGINX, Linux.
Knowledgeable security, network protocols, tools and solutions, such as SFTP, VPN, HTTP(S), Kerberos and SSH.
Good understanding of Java and JVM process, JVM tuning, JConsole, JMX, and other java tools.
Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated issues with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases.
Must be amenable to work from Wednesday to Sunday schedule (Monday & Tuesday off).
