What success looks like in this role:
🛡️ Role: FIM Analyst Level 2 – File Integrity Monitoring (Banking Environment)
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate file integrity alerts escalated by Level 1 FIM analysts, identifying root cause and risk level.
• Correlate file changes with approved change management records to detect unauthorized modifications.
• Adjust and design FIM rules and policies to improve accuracy, reduce false positives, and cover critical files.
• Perform audits and vulnerability assessments on file systems, configurations, and user accounts.
• Coordinate with system administrators for remediation of anomalous changes and support FIM tool implementations or migrations.
• Generate technical reports and metrics on FIM events, compliance, and trends; propose process improvements.
• Support the installation and configuration of FIM agents to ensure reliable data collection.
• Provide guidance to Level 1 FIM analysts on analysis techniques, escalation criteria, and strengthening controls.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
🎓 Essential Requirements:
• University degree in cybersecurity or related fields, with 2–4 years of experience in security operations or system administration (minimum 1 year in FIM).
• Experience with FIM tools such as Tripwire or Qualys FIM (rule analysis and adjustment).
• Technical knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and change management processes.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS controls and file integrity-related audits.
• Analytical and technical documentation skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
🌟 Desirable:
• Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or GIAC, experience in vulnerability management or GRC tools.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or integration with SOAR solutions.
