Summary
As Director, Software Engineering at Infoblox, you'll lead a team in Bangalore, reporting to the VP in Santa Clara. We are looking for a Director, Software Engineering to join our SaaS team in Bangalore, India, reporting to the VP of Software Engineering in Santa Clara, USA. In this role, you will manage a team of engineers and work closely with the rest of the Engineering organization to build our SaaS platform. You will manage various ongoing efforts, including feature development, defect analysis, resolution, and software release management. You will also work on cutting-edge technology of Containers and GoLang with a highly collaborative team that will help you learn and grow in your knowledge of SaaS platforms.

What you’ll do:
Provide technical direction to engineers, including developers and leads
Design and implement timely, high-quality software solutions to customer issues for Infoblox core products
Work on features from concept to release through all phases of development, including functional, design specifications, implementation, unit, performance, and scalability testing
Collaborate with various cross-functional Product teams
Recruit, build, develop, and manage the team, and mentor junior engineers
Monitor the team's daily tasks and track and deliver key initiatives and projects, ensuring they comply with quality standards
Manage all aspects of software development, including requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of software
Manage customer issues, escalations, and tracking customer SLAs closely
Coordinate and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders
Stay current on key trends, especially in technologies and frameworks like Containers, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Cloud, etc.
What you’ll bring:
20+ years of experience in software development with at least 8 years of experience managing a software development team
Experience in microservices architecture and container-based software using Kubernetes, Docker, and other container technologies is a huge plus
Experience with programming languages such as Go Lang, Java, Python, and/or C/C++
Experience with Amazon Web Services, such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, etc. is a plus
Knowledge of DNS protocol and general networking concepts, and knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
Experience working on an agile development process
Full software development life-cycle experience with a proven track record of shipping software
Results-oriented with a solid work ethic and excellent attention to detail and quality
Experience with DNS, DHCP is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CE or EE required, master’s degree preferred
